SPINNER, named after the acrobatic spinner dolphins found in Kona waters, is a classic 31' Bertram Sportfisherman. Designed by Ray Hunt and built by Richard Bertram, the 31 was in production for 25 years and is considered one of the best modern boat designs ever built.
Built in 1969, the boat was completely renovated by Captain Tom Bottrell in 1997, and has been continuously maintained specifically for whale watching and sportfishing off the Kona Coast of Hawaii.
SPINNER features an open-air, shaded cabin with dinette seating for four and a restroom. A large, sunny rear deck has padded seating and a fighting chair. The boat is powered by twin diesels, and its electronics package is excellent. Penn International 50lb class fishing equipment and all tackle are provided.
SPINNER is a safe and comfortable boat that meets or exceeds all of the United States Coast Guard safety regulations.
