Whale, dolphin and sport fishing charters are all available twice daily, year-round. The humpback whales are found in Kona from December through April; pilot whales, dolphins and other toothed whales, May through November.

Whale Watching Daily Schedule

Our whale and dolphin watching outings regularly produce spectacular results.  Pods of humpback whales, schools of fish, spinning dolphins and magnificent sea turtles are regular sightings.   

Whales and Dolphins you are likely to see in Kona Waters:

• Whales: Humpback, Sperm, Pilot, False Killer, Melon-Headed, Pigmy Killer

• Dolphins: Spinner, Bottlenose, Spotted, Rough-Toothed

SPORT FISHING

We sport fish year-round for Hawaiian "food" fish: Aku, Mahi Mahi, Ono, and others.  

Our guests usually catch Ono, Aku or Mahi Mahi but they occasionally hook-up a pacific blue marlin.  Our record is a 588.5 lb blue marlin.  We now release all marlin caught.

COMBINATION WHALE WATCHING AND SPORT FISHING

From May through November we run some fishing lines while searching for pilot whales and dolphins, giving you a chance to experience both sport fishing and whale watching all in one trip.  It is an adventure for the whole family - whale watch and sport fish together!
